Colonial-style home in Cockeysville sells for just under $2M – Baltimore Sun

It seems that no multi-million dollar house is complete these days without a wet bar, and the home that recently sold on Ivy Reach Court in Cockeysville is no exception.

Here at the Real Estate Wonk, we’re into our second month of featuring some of the most expensive homes sold each month in the Baltimore area, and being the sleuths we are, we noticed this recurring theme. (A wet bar is one that comes with a sink and running water.)

Check out the pictures to see the one at this house. It’s solid wood with brass poles framing the bottom.

For $ 1.995 million — down from an asking price of $ 2.495 million in November — the new owner also gets seven bedrooms, six full baths, two half baths and a three-car garage. The craftsman-style home was built in 2005.

It also features built-in bookcases, granite counter tops, a laundry chute, a soaking tub, gourmet kitchen, a vaulted ceiling in the great room, seven fireplaces, a pool and screened porch.

The house sits on 2.3 acres and boasts, according to the listing by Karen Hubble Bisbee, “formal rooms” and “intimate gathering spaces.”

Check out the photo gallery of top May sales for more homes. And here’s the April gallery.
