All that white paint makes my heart hurt. But the properly stripped and finished WOOD feeds my soul.

I think Arts&Crafts/Craftsman has now replaced Regency as my favourite. ;-)

I think because Craftsman homes are more about celebrating the “craftsmanship” of the detailing where a style like “international style” is more about celebrating the space. The pure space and how one relates to it. Each to his/her own. Now I’m not talking about cookie-cutters of n.america but elegant stark modernism. Hope you will have it in you to enjoy both styles. Cheers,

Beautiful homes! Why are people so obsessed with ugly, boxy, generic McMansions when Craftsman houses have such a simple elegance to them?

Nice video. I saw you used some of my photos of Sacramento bungalows from hewnandhammered – good stuff! We have plenty more here too.

    Thanks for posting SilverEagle97.
2 things tho. The Blacker and Gamble houses by Greene & Greene are classified as ultimate bungalows & they’re in Pasadena.
Also, it seems a shame that so many of the houses shown have painted wood trim. Originaly the wood trim was left unpainted but stained or fumed dark brown.
I appreciate your dedication to the Craftsman style. It has a very human feel to it, it lifts the heart. I like many styles, but I have a soft spot for Craftsman.
